Our staff – help is just a phone call away

Heartbeat Nursing Agency is committed to delivering excellent customer service to all of our clients through the implementation of quality practices in all activities of our operations. We pride ourselves on the professionalism and broad experience of our office employees in recruiting and placing nursing professionals seven days a week.

We do not operate impersonal call centres. Heartbeat Nursing Agency’s service users benefit from an individualised, quality service and regular contact from our consultants. Our experience has proven that our delivery of service provides great benefits to our service uses.

Heartbeat Nursing Agency provides staff according to their level of skill and education. We have a diverse selection of highly skilled and dedicated staff from which to choose the most appropriate nursing professional to meet the needs of all our service users.

Heartbeat Nursing Agency can provide:
  • Registered Nurses Division 1
  • Midwives
  • Specialist Nurses
  • Enrolled Nurses Division 2
  • Undergraduate Nurses
  • Assistants in Nursing
  • Disability Support Workers
  • Community Bus Drivers
  • Technical Assistants
  • Clerical Assistants
  • Ward persons.
Heartbeat Nursing Agency understands that Australia has a mobile, international nursing workforce and we take every reasonable step to curb the local shortage through a focus on staff retention. Our commitment to our staff is demonstrated in many ways through our company policies, provision of flexible working hours, training opportunities, incentives and career development.

Heartbeat Nursing Agency is an equal opportunity employer. Every reasonable effort is made by the Heartbeat Nursing Agency to source and recruit appropriate applicants who meet our selection criteria, irrespective of gender, race, culture, age or disability.

Recruiting a pool of staff with sufficiently diverse backgrounds is a challenge that exists for all service providers throughout Australia. We actively encourage applications from staff from diverse cultural and language backgrounds. As a result, we have the staff available to meet the specific needs of our service users.

Heartbeat Nursing conducts a detailed interview and pre-employment screening process. Our employment process is fully compliant with the Australian Standard 4811-2006 Pre-employment Screening developed by Standards Australia and the RCSA.

In addition to ensuring competency, Heartbeat Nursing Agency assesses all staff for their physical and mental capability to undertake the work required. All our staff’s previous relevant experience is discussed and documented in order to determine their suitability for agency work. It is essential that applicants be screened to ensure they are reliable, competent, efficient, flexible and that they have the appropriate level of skill to meet the ongoing needs of our service users. Our screening process also evaluates our applicants’ self-management skills, particularly those relating to their mode of travel and awareness of the geographical location of their clients to ensure punctuality, reliability and continuity of care.

Service users can be confident that under no circumstances are staff supplied to service users until all the pre-employment and pre-placement checks have been approved and completed.
